Asian Aussie Business |Kempinski Hotels has signed a historic deal to run the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence. This marks the start of a new era. As of March 1, 2025, Kempinski will be in charge of the private home alone, working with HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern and the Royal Family of Bavaria.
“It is an honor to take over running the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence, a building with such a long history and a strong reputation for great service.” This partnership is a great chance for Kempinski to improve the experience of guests at one of Europe’s most prestigious places. Barbara Muckermann, Group Chief Executive Officer for Kempinski Hotels, says, “Our promise is to honor Nymphenburg’s history while adding new levels of luxury, personalized service, and creative hospitality for discerning guests from all over the world.”
The Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence is the most luxurious place to stay in Munich. It is in a place that is both city and country. The Royal Residence has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three living rooms, a dining room, a kitchen, an exercise room, a place to hold meetings, a home theater, and a wine cellar. It is spread out over three floors and is 836 square meters in size. Outside, the Royal Residence has a private yard with a terrace made of majolica that can fit up to 100 people.
Not only does the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence give the best suite experience, it also shows off Nymphenburg Porcelain. The Royal Residence has artifacts, animal figures, and tableware from the workshops of the manufacturers. It also has many internal details that were made just for the guest house, like the details in the bathrooms. Important works by international artists like Damien Hirst and Nick Knight are displayed clearly in the Royal Residence. Guests can enjoy fine craftsmanship and priceless art during their stay.
Maximilian III, elector of Bavaria, opened the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory in 1747. Since 1761, it has been in one of the Cavalier Houses. With help from the royal family and the skills of artist Franz Anton Bustelli and ceramicist Joseph Jakob Ringler, the complicated process of making hard paste porcelain was improved over time, leading to a family business that is now famous all over the world. Today, Nymphenburg Porcelain is one of the oldest porcelain companies in the world. They still make every piece by hand and are devoted to the highest level of workmanship and detail.
The Royal Family of Bavaria and Kempinski have a long history of working together, and Kempinski’s management of the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence strengthens that relationship. King Maximilian II, HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern’s great-great grandfather, built the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich in 1858.
“We’re excited to say that our long-term partnership with Kempinski is growing, especially with the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich.” This hotel has been a standard for high-class service for a long time. It is next to the Residence and hosts guests of the royal family. The Nymphenburg Room in the Schwarzreiter restaurant is a great example of both the best china work and the best food. We are now starting a new part of our work together. Kempinski will be in charge of the Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence, a stunningly beautiful home set on the grounds of the porcelain factory at Nymphenburg Palace’s northern roundabout. People who want the highest culture standards should go to this venue. “This partnership will also start a new era of great service at the ultra-luxury level for Kempinski,” says HRH Prince Luitpold von Bayern.
From March 1, 2025, you will be able to make reservations for the Royal Residence at Nymphenburg Palace. The room rate includes full use of the private 836-square-meter house, breakfast every day, round-trip airport transfers, butler service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and a chauffeured limousine for the whole stay. It is also possible to book the Royal Residence for private parties, meetings, and weddings. The Royal Residence costs at least EUR 25,000 (USD 26,250) per night to stay in for the night.

About the Porzellan Manufacturer Nymphenburg: Everything at Nymphenburg is made by hand, making it the last plant of its kind. The Bavarian royal family’s workshop has been making porcelain since 1747, and has grown the fine art of making it. To this day, “Manu Factum” still means “made by hand” using methods that have been passed down from generation to generation. The master workshops at Munich’s Nördliches Schlossrondell make services and objects that set new trends and make custom interior solutions. These are still created by some of the world’s best artists, architects, and designers.
